What is a strategy provider?

A strategy provider is a trader who allows others to copy their trades copy trading strategies automatically. Set your own fees, including performance, management, and volume-based. Then, earn from every successful trade copied.

Requirements to become a strategy provider

Any cTrader user with a hedging account (not a netting account) can become a strategy provider on Deriv. Here’s what you need:

• A positive account balance
  ‍
• At least one open position
  ‍
• One trade executed in the last 72 hours
  ‍
• A lifetime ROI above 90%

Your ability to charge fees depends on your membership:

• Full membership (FM): Charge fees for strategies copied by live accounts.
  ‍
• Demo membership (DM): Can only offer free strategies.

Check your membership type in your account profile before getting started.

Setting up your strategy provider profile

1. Go to the 'Copy' section and select your account.

2. Click Become a Strategy Provider.

3. Fill in the details:
   
   • Strategy name: Unique, maximum 80 characters, avoid special characters.

   • Minimum investment: The minimum funds required to copy your strategy.
     ‍
   • Performance fee: Percentage of net profit (calculated via the High-Water Mark model).
     ‍
   • Management fee: A percentage (up to 10%) of investors’ equity.
     ‍
   • Volume fee: Charged per million in copied volume (maximum $10 per million).
     ‍
   • Copying permissions: Allow copying for live accounts only or both live and demo accounts.
     ‍
   • Visibility settings: Choose who can see and copy your strategy.
     ‍
   • Description: Add details to attract investors.

4. Click Become a Strategy Provider to activate your strategy.

You can tweak most settings anytime under ‘Strategy Settings.’ However, some options can only be changed after stopping your strategy.

Managing and stopping your strategy

• To stop sharing your strategy, click Stop Providing Strategy.
  ‍
• To restart, select Restart Providing Strategy in your strategy summary.
  ‍
• Auto-deletion occurs if a strategy is inactive for 30+ days with no trades.
